There is a peculiar honesty in music that conversation rarely achieves.
Songs slip past the defenses we build around uncomfortable truths, wrapping difficult admissions in melody, so they can reach us without triggering our instinct to look away.
A lyric about unspoken loneliness, a swelling chorus that names a love we have denied, or even an instrumental that carries the weight of grief we refuse to feel, these become vehicles for information we are not always ready to claim as our own.
In the space between notes, listeners often find the words they could not speak, the feelings they would not acknowledge, and the realities they have spent years avoiding.
Music then, is not just art; It’s a quiet intervention, conveying what the heart already knows but the mind is not yet willing to admit.
That is why I want to share some of the following 9/11 related music video’s I’ve edited together.
First up is an artist from Australia, Taz Drums with his epic song - The illusions We Weave - and you’d be angered to know that YouTube deleted his channel without warning, but luckily he is on Rumble. My Rumble upload link.
Next up is the work of Jason Page, using Ai to put music to his lyrics.
There are two albums he’s created;
I’m still in the process of creating music videos for most of the songs, but here are some I’ve done so far…
